Ben Schlafer
President/Financial Professional
Ben Schlafer has resided all over the world but now calls the Kansas City area his home. Ben attended Würzburg American High School in Germany and Immaculata Catholic School in Leavenworth, Kansas. Ben would then go on and graduated from Kansas State University with a BSBA in Political Science and Government. Ben began his Financial professional career in 2019 as an agent with New York Life Insurance Company and a Registered Representative with NYLIFE Securities LLC. Ben would eventually go on to co-found Bison Financial Strategies, LLC with Quintin Mueller with a client-focused approach to help people navigate the complexities of personal, business, and estate finance to better achieve their goals and secure their financial future. Ben is married to Ann, and they have two dogs, Fred, and Louis. Ben and Ann enjoy devoting their spare time to multiple non-profit organizations around the Kansas City area. When he is not working Ben enjoys spending time at their farm in Southeast Kansas, Golfing, as well hunting with friends and family.
Quintin Mueller
Vice President/Financial Professional
Quintin Mueller is a long time Kansas City native who grew up north of the river in Smithville. Quintin attended Smithville High School and graduated from Missouri Western State University with an BSBA in Supply Chain Management. Quintin played for the Missouri Western State University Football program during his time at the University. Quintin began his Financial Professional career in 2021 as an agent with New York Life and a Registered Representative with NYLIFE Securities LLC after Quintin and Ben Schlafer met on a hunting trip in Mound City, Missouri. Quintin and Ben would then go on to co-found Bison Financial Strategies, LLC together with a customer-focused approach to help people navigate the complexities of personal, business, and estate finance to better achieve their goals and secure their financial future. Quintin is married to Brooke, and they have three dogs: Roo, Oakley, and Blanche. Outside of the office, Quintin spends most of his time playing Golf with Brooke, friends, and family as well as hunting waterfowl with his dog Blanche.
Melissa Beckham
Director of Administration/ Licensed Service Assistant
Melissa Beckham is an Olathe, Kansas native born and raised. Melissa directs all operations and administrative work for Bison Financial Strategies, LLC where she is focused on service and case design for clients. Outside of the office Melissa spends most of her time giving back to her community and being super mom to her children. Melissa and her husband Kiel reside in Olathe, Kansas with their two amazing children Kiegan, Fynnlie and dog Peanut.
